About Josh Hegge:
Josh Hegge was a young man who entered William Smith High School completely different than he graduated. He was kind, a good friend, and passionate about horticulture. He would often be seen pruning the plants in the school because that was his way of showing his nurturing personality. As he grew, he emerged as a passionate leader and mentor to younger students and authentically shared his story to help his peers. Younger students looked to him for guidance and he would gently offer comfort, compassion, and support. He will always be remembered as someone who “turned it around” and left William Smith a better place because he was a part of this community.
